Downtown Development Authority

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was established by the City Council in 1995 for the redevelopment of Downtown Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is located at the crossroads of the Downriver area with easy access to major freeways, the airport and downtown Detroit.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to create a vibrant, walkable and sustainable downtown with mixed uses that serve the Community and the Downriver area by attracting new businesses, providing support to existing businesses and improving the physical environment.

Vision

To attract entrepreneurs into existing vacant buildings, assist existing and new businesses by offering financial incentives; create a brand image; promote the downtown as a destination area with unique shops, restaurants and retail stores; and organize events and activities in the downtown.
